Fixed-wing airplane simulator?

Have you considered adding fixed-wing RC airplane simulation? I'd happily pay another €50 for decent airplane simulation. I know there are plenty of airplane simulators for Windows, and a couple for Mac, but there's very little available for Linux. There is one open-source option (crrcsim) for Linux...

Re: FMS PIC controller under linux

HELI-X requires an USB interface at the moment. Just to avoid future confusion, Heli-X (at least since 4.1) does not require a USB interface. It uses the normal Linux event/joystick device API, so anything that works with that (USB HID, serial-port, gameport, parallel port, PWM audio-card-input, et...

Re: FMS PIC controller under linux

i have a usb / rs233 convertes so my PIC controller is connected via USB to my linux box but i guess there has to be a code to understand the data format that PIC transmitter uses. If you're still interested in using an FMS PIC cable, I've made available a Linux driver that allows you to use one ty...

Re: Serially attached RC transmitter?

it should, I guess. Just try it out and let us know. It works fine. :) I had the Java "link error" using the jinput library included with the heli-x download library, so I had to get a newer copy of of libjinput-linux.so from http://java.net/projects/jinput . If anybody else wants to use ...

Serially attached RC transmitter?

The Heli-X home page says that a USB interface or transmitter is required. I've got an "FMS PIC" serial cable for my transmitter, and I have written a driver so that it shows up as a 6-axis joystick device /dev/input/js0. [It works the same way that the Linux zhenhua joystick driver does.]...

I've found the documentation on the web site that says coaxial physics were introduced in 4.0, but I can't find where it says that there are any coaxial models.

Are any coaxial models included in 4.1?
