I downloaded 9C the other day and was pleased to see a couple new plane models.

Purely out of curiosity, I copied two of them (Alphajet and Extra330SC) to the appropriate directory in my Version 8 installation. I didn't really expect them to work, but they almost do. The Alphajet works except you can't raise/lower flaps, so when you throttle-up it just plows into the cornfield. I don't remember if I tried raising/lowering the landing gear. On the Extra330SC, the control surfaces appear to work but the throttle doesn't.

Now you know and don't have to try it yourself.

Interesting experiment! It's always fun to see what you can get working outside the intended scope. Sounds like you’ve almost cracked the code. Perhaps some tweaking of config files is in order? While you're troubleshooting, have you tried your hand at Pips NYT today? It might offer a nice mental break before diving back into those virtual cockpits!
