Dear all
I'm keen to understand what monitor refresh rates you have achieved with Heli-X v11 on a Mac driving a 5k or 4k monitor.
PS: I currently run Heli-X v11 on a Mac mini M4 connected to a 5k monitor that is limited to 60Hz and find this low monitor frame rate quite annoying
Achieved monitor refresh rates on a Mac?
Re: Achieved monitor refresh rates on a Mac?
Done one test myself now-
Apple iMac M4 connected via HDMI2.1 to LG OLED 4k TV.
- This could drive the TV at it highest refresh rate of 120fps whilst supporting 4k
- Heli-X on my iMac can run at at 500fps at 4k, but panning of the background is much smoother when V-Sync is enabled in Heli-X, forcing it to the TV's 120fps
The above result suggests to me that I may be able to run Heli-X at the iMac M4's highest 4k refresh rate of 240fps with a suitable monitor
I hope this helps any that are interested
