Heli-X 7 - Won't initialise on Windows-10

Post by paolofcantoni »

I installed Heli-X 7 on two Windows-7 machines without issue.

I then tried my Windows-10. I get a "LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."
I also noticed an ANOMALY: message in the DOS Box, but it's not there now.

Are there any known problems with Windows-10?

TIA,
Paolo

This should work. I guess, there are problems with the download or installation due to a virus program or a firewall.

Hi Michael,
I'm getting back to this as I want to use this laptop on my holidays.
I noticed that there was a new setup file: setupHeli-X7_win64_8u51.exe for use if there were startup problems on Windows.
I downloaded it and tried to install. I got the Loadlibrary issues again, but this time also got an exception in cmd.exe.
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" (a null pointer exception by the look if things - see attached PNG)

Any ideas? BTW, ALL the versions of Heli-X that I have (v6.1, v7 normal, v7 8u51) fail with the Loadlibrary issue on this machine and work fine on two others.

Please check out this: https://windowsreport.com/loadlibrary-f ... rror-1114/
Thanks Michael,

This did the trick! Although I have an AMD Radeon 6700M Series.
