How to use multi-Position switches on the transmitter

Postby TommyB66 » 19 Aug 2015 19:00

Hi,

i'm using a Futaba T8FG transmitter and for my physical heli I use a three position switch to change flight modes:

Lower = motor off
Middle = medium head speed
Upper = higher head speed

I have not found any way to make Heli-X differentiate between middle and upper switch position, but the transmitter sends different signal levels for each position (-100 / 0 / +100) on the channel assigned to this switch.

In the button assignment window, the switch is shown as button 1 and is OFF (black) in lower position and ON (red) in middle and upper position.

I now assigned the second head speed to a different switch but would like to have the same setting as in the real world.

regards
Thomas

Hello,

when you are aksed during the calibration to bring the sticks in the middle position, do it also with the switch. Later, when you move the sticks, please move also the switch to ist end positions. Then, you should get the switch two times in the configuration as + and -

Hi Michael,

thanks for the hint, I tried this a few times, but the result is always the same:

Taste 0 and Taste 2 are the two switches, they both turn "active" in middle and up position and "inactive" in the down position.

If I understand correctly, I should get Taste 0, Taste 0+ and Taste 0- ?

That basically change nothing.

It just inverts the situation. You can't translate a three state switch into a single setting, you always lose one state.

Now I have:

Upper = ON
Middle = ON
Lower = OFF

When inverting I have:

Upper = OFF
Middle = OFF
Lower = ON
