Decided to make it Beta 1, added some trees, another hoodoo, changed start position, added a boulder/cave, and subdivided the cacti so they're smoother. Let me know how this version works for everyone! Almost done, just want to add another type of cactus, and fix the sky. Also reduced sizes and compression of many texture files to reduce overall size.
- Big performance problems on my system (Phenom II 965, 3,4GHz Quadcore, GeForce 9600 GT, Win7-64), Framerate doesn't reach 75fps (I am using VSync and have my screen configured at 75 Hz for watching DVD videos)
- Heli cannot land in area behind starting location (gets drowned like in a swamp)
- pilot seems to float quite a bit above ground when not flying FPV

... on Mac the helicopters and airports are in the folder HELI-X6 inside the personal library folder....

Now it starts working perfectly, thank you Michael for your advice!

And great work tweeb! Its very smooth and very fun flying in a canyon!
