Hello
I am new user of Heli-X and I've got a problem with connection to any multiplayer server.
I see always message "Can't resolve client address" when I trying to connect to any.
I found older thread in this forum with similar problem, but my skills with german language are so poor and translator is'nt so good too
I am Linux user (Gentoo), and I try to add line like "192.168.0.2 tomas" into /etc/hosts file but it dont helps.
I am behind router (with NAT) but I dont filter any port for outgoing connection (client to server) so I think it should work as client correctly.
Anybody can help me ?
Thanks

if 192.168.0.2 is the IP for your PC in your local network and the hostname is "tomas"
then this should work.
I have ubuntu linux and it works on my PC.

Hello,

to find out if the problem is on your PC or at the router please try the following:

You start HELI-X twice.
Then you start a server at the first HELI-X (local net)
Then you try to connect wirht the second HELI-X as a client to the session.

Does this work?

And make sure that your firewall and router settings allow TCP and UDP ports.

Problem solved
I check that I type wrong hostname into /etc/hosts which not correspond with system settings.
Now all works correctly, thanks
