No Joystick Found, Cannot Connect Controller

I tried all the input choices in the Global Settings section, restarted each time, none worked. Tried Full factory reset. Terminal shows:
Set new path for the resources
Users/achaas LibrarwHELI-X9 resour
cesi
Set new path for the user files:
Users/aehaas/LibrarvHELI-X9ifilesi
Controller (O) of tpe: Kevboard
Controller (1) of tpe: Mouse
Controller (21 of type: Keyboard
No Jovstick found
Controller configuration file not found:
/Users/aehaas/Librarw/HELI-X9/files/co
introller none xml
This on a Intel MacBook Pro 2019 running OS Ventura 13.6.
On my old desktop running OS 12 the program works fine.
Heli-X ver. 10 does not work on either computer.
