I'm having the exact same problem. I'm using a Futaba 10C with it set to PPM mode but I get no response in heli-x or the joystick and gamepad tester app. I'll try it again on a PC to see if works there.

Nope. If it works on a PC, it should also work (with the same settings) on a Mac. Sorry, I didn't see that you've tested it on a PC. What I find completely odd is the fact that the OS recognizes the device, Heli-X uses it as an input device (hence it should be registered as a HID joystick), but no data can be read...

Are you using a USB hub? Some of them are "only relatively obeying standards", which works for Windows most of the time, but can cause trouble on a Mac. Try plugging the device into one of the USB ports of your Mac directly.

I only tried it through the hub just in hope really. I have tried it directly in the mac usb ports too and it doesnt work like that either. Is there a chance that some software could be conflicting with it?? stopping it from working correctly??

Hi,

just to make sure, that the problem is not solvable within HELI-X. Could you please plug in your joystick, do the calibration within the program (although it seem to be worthless) and tell us the output of the console....

And second: please look in the directory files/controller Is there an xml file created?

Hi Michael,

I just ran the calibration for you! Again no sign of the sticks making any input but carried on. However, when i got to the end of the calibration. The finish button wouldn't work. :-/

Hi,

please check if this directory exist and that you have the permission to write in the directory:
/Users/Tom/Library/Heli-X/files/controller/

In the beginning there should be created a file with the controler configuration.

No it still doesn't work. Its weird. The .xml file exists even though it wont let me finish the calibration (the 'finish' button cannot be pressed, so you have to press 'cancel' to exit calibration window) ??? and it still doesn't work??! How bizzare? Would it help to see the contents of the XML file??
