ok, please be patient until Tuesday.

Mine is 6.0.1614.

After going again through the different solutions provided, the following worked for me:

1. I'm running Java 8-Update 45, did the (elsewhere in this forum) recommended update from the apple website.
2. Went to HD/programs/Heli-X6/Contents/libs/jme/ (in this folder you'll find the readme-jinput.txt in which the following steps are recommended. Nice hide!
3. Renamed jinput.jar to jinput.jar.original
4. Renamed jinput-b8.jar to jinput.jar

I still have some issues with the controller not being recognized at all and occasionally a blacked out screen - but this is by far better than before.

I'll edit this post shortly and add my controller hardware info.

edit: I'm using a PengFei Simulator - XTR+G2+FMS Controller. This information can be obtained by clicking on the apple symbol in the upper left corner of the screen, choose about this mac... and System report. I have a german OS, so the words might not be accurate.

how do you download 1614.. I got to update and it's says... no update required

Downloaded and installed it. I'm completely new to this and had no previous version.

I have upgraded to 1614, but have trouble with the controller configurator and a spektrum dx9 transmitter.

Issues:
Selecting a fixed throttle (idleup1 og idleup2) with the idle up switch also gives fixed pitch.
The throttle cut button gives full negative pitch.

Further I don't know if I should select "5 channels" or not. Should I? I tried both.

Please do not select 5 channel mode, then everything is much easier to configure.

All right, 5 channels deselected.
Still, z-axis and slider (pitch and throttle) are like glued together.
Just like before.

Also,
I have not used the button configuration ever. Because I don't understand the configuration page.
Which button on my transmitter is no. 1 and so on? How do I tell heli-x which button to use?

Pitch and throttle are coupled, that is correct.

The pitch and throttle curves are defined in the flight curves menu in HELI-X
