All I can see is grass?????

Post by ctrebby »

I recently downloaded the demo version of heli-x (4.2) to my mac book pro ( os 10.7.5). Im using a Dx7S controller with a usb cable. I am able to open Heli-x and add one of the heli's included in the demo if my controller is not connected, it will insert the heli into the scene fine. However the problem comes when I add my controller. The system will see the controller and I can go in and configure it, and that goes just fine. However when I select a heli after hooking up the controller I just get a full screen view of grass and can't do anything, although there is an occasional clicking sound. I also notice that when this happens the FPS changes from 59-60 before selecting the heli to 0-1 after I select it. Ive downloaded the lasted updates for all my software including JAVA but I cant figure out what else I need to do.

Any suggestions?

I should also add that this occurs when I have the controller powered off and in "slave" mode. If I power the controller on I can insert the heli just fine and spool it up with the programed keyboard buttons, But when it is powered on I can not get the controller configured. The configuration tool will open up and I can go through the process but none of the bars move.

Hope that helps.

Thanks again

You should turn the controller on and off when HELI-X is running. It should be on before HELI-X starts and never put off as long as HELI-X runs.

How many FPS yre displayed? Also try the helicopter EC135.
