I'm trying to get my DX8 to work with Heli-X and a Macbook Pro, but it just won't configure. I'm using the recommended USB cable (http://helidirect.com/usb-simulator-cab ... p-3171.hdx) but when I try to configure it, it doesn't show any movement of any of the sticks. When I start the program it says "Your controller is not configured yet" so that makes me think that it is recognizing that a controller, or maybe just the USB adapter, is connected.
Someone in the comments section of the above USB adapter mentioned that it works great with his DX8 and someone mentioned a guide, but I can't find any.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: DX8 won't connect
Did you go through the calibation process inside HELI-X?

Re: DX8 won't connect
Yes, I think I did, and there was no response to the sticks. I'd try again now, but I accidentally yanked the cable out of the dongle. Anyone know how to know which wire gets soldered to which terminal in there?

Re: DX8 won't connect
I got the same problem using the following usb interface:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/130900932608
The DX8 switches on in "Schüler" mode when I plug the plug into the transmitter. When I start heli-x it tells me to configure the transmitter but the movement of the sticks gets ignored. What could I try to get the whole thing working? Should the GUI show the movement of the sticks before configuration of the sticks?
